What You Will Be Doing

The Lived Experience Support Educator – Alcohol and Other Drugs is an integral member of the education and clinical leadership teams. The support educator demonstrates flexibility in co-designing and supporting the delivery of Clinical Education all levels of staff across the organisation. The Lived Experience Support educator works competently within their scope of practice co-delivering and co-facilitating education in compliance with evidence-based practice as well as hospital policy and guidelines. This position will participate in the planning, development, coordination, implementation, delivery and evaluation of education services for Peninsula Health.

What You Need

We anticipate you will have:
• Previous experience as a Lived Experience (Alcohol and Other Drugs) worker
• Demonstrated ability and relevant skills acquired through a lived experience in recovery from Alcohol and/or Drug use and to apply this in teaching or supporting learners.
• AOD specific qualification equivalent to (or above) Certificate IV in Alcohol or Other Drug Work or working towards same.
• Well-developed communication and inter-personal skills, including the ability to consult, liaise and work collaboratively.
