The Public Sector Reform Division is responsible for leading and coordinating work on issues relating to the performance and reform of the public sector, including workforce reform, outcomes and evidence reform, and public sector innovation. The division supports the Premier, the Minister for Government Services and the Secretary as the head of the Victorian Public Service.

The Public Sector Innovation branch at the Department of Premier and Cabinet works to enable and accelerate innovation across the Victorian public.

The Public Sector Innovation branch works across government to build innovation capability, with a focus on how government employees can work in new or different ways to improve people's lives. Our approach is collaborative, engaged, flexible and outcomes-focused.

Our branch is seeking a motivated Manager who is genuinely interested in innovation and excited by the prospect of improving public sector outcomes. The Manager, Behavioural Insights Unit is responsible for leading and managing the work of the Behavioural Insights Unit in the Public Sector Innovation Branch.

The Manager, Behavioural Insights Unit (BIU) will use their knowledge of behavioural science and management capability to develop the skills and capabilities of the individual behavioural insights team members, manage the workload of the BIU to ensure resources are directed in the most impactful way to respond to current behavioural challenges, and ensure that the BIU's work is delivered to a high quality and in a timely manner.
