The Royal Melbourne Hospital



As one of the largest health services in Victoria, and a team of more than 10,000 strong, we provide a comprehensive range of specialist medical, surgical, and mental health services; as well as rehabilitation, aged care, outpatient and community programs. We are a designated state-wide provider for services including trauma, and we lead centres of excellence for tertiary services in several key specialties including neurosciences, nephrology, oncology, cardiology and virtual health.


 


Your new team



We are looking for passionate and dedicated individuals to join our Quality Improvement and Patient Experience team. This is a Full time position, working 80 hours per fortnight, based at Jane Bell House (close to the Royal Melbourne Hospital).


Your success in this role, will be in your ability to



  • Ensure organisational processes are in place for clinical risk management and patient safety across the organisation.

  • Ensure incident reviews at the RMH are timely and effective and improvements are implemented.

  • Ensure management and education and reporting from the incident and feedback management system (Riskman)

  • Deliver organisational education about clinical risk management and patient safety

  • Use data to inform best practice and projects for improvement


Your Contribution



  • You are an enthusiastic individual who leads with kindness.

  • You have led a team and have experience in clinical risk and patient experience

  • You have a clinical background with professional registration or clinical practice recency.

  • Completed Safer Care Victoria RCA training in the last 3 years (preferred).

  • Experience with Riskman preferred

  • Have experience with an electronic medical record, collection and critical analysis and reporting of data.
