The Manager Commercial Transactions supports the Energy divisions with commercial transactions, and is the key liaison point between Group Finance Energy and the DEECA Finance Management and Reporting Branch. To support transparency and assurance of DEECA's whole of government reporting, the role involves monthly financial management of derivative contracts as well as establishing systems and processes to account for these commercial arrangements which the department is supporting.
The role requires high level communication and analytical skills, specialist financial accounting skills in the application of financial instruments and the ability to build effective relationships with key stakeholders. The position will also provide technical expertise and strategic guidance to internal stakeholders through partnering and consultation.

This is a fixed term position available for a period of 12 months. The work location for this position is 8 Nicholson Street, East Melbourne with hybrid work arrangements available.
