The position of Manager Engagement and Campaigns forms a part of the Business Education & Outbreaks Unit, in the Deputy State Controller Branch in the Industry Coordination & Recovery Group in DJPR. 

The Industry Coordination and Recovery Group leads and works with our partners to enable Victorian industries and businesses to recover and thrive while operating in a COVIDSafe environment. Our goal is to ensure business and industry is COVIDSafe and active contributors to Victoria's economic recovery. 

The Deputy State Controller leads the coordination of engagement strategies as they relate to businesses within the remit of the Industry Engagement and Enforcement Operation (IEEO). Working as part of the Industry Coordination and Recovery Group (ICRG), the engagement arm of the IEEO is led by DJPR and works closely with the enforcement arm of the Operation led by the Department of Justice and Community Safety. 

The Business Education and Outbreaks team, was established to respond to evolving business restrictions, designed to stop the spread of COVID-19 and to support Victoria's economic recovery. 

This position will play a key role in designing and leading campaigns that focus on key industries, locations, and groups of businesses to ensure they understand and adopt all COVIDSafe ways of working. Campaigns may be developed in partnership with other part of DJPR and DJCS and could be delivered using a range of different engagement methods, including face-to-face engagement. 

The Manager Engagement and Campaigns reports to the Director Business Education and Outbreaks and responsibilities include: 

  • Lead a positive and high-performing team, including by identifying and implementing opportunities to improve teamwork practices and culture.
  • Design and oversee delivery of engagement campaigns with industries and groups of businesses that are identified as having a higher risk of transmitting COVID-19 within their businesses, to educate them about how to reduce the risk of COVID-19 transmission and support them to be COVIDSafe.
  • Lead a small team to deliver engagement support and campaign delivery, including data analysis and reporting of findings from on-ground engagement activity and from the CALD and Aboriginal engagement team, and oversight of risk management and reporting.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders and provide relevant information and advice about the Operation's direction, issues, identified risks and requirements to ensure appropriate information flow.
