The VFA is a statutory authority established to facilitate the effective management of Victoria’s fisheries resources in a coordinated and strategic way that ensures their ongoing sustainability. Manager Events Engagement

• Annual Salary Range: VPS6.1 $127,467 - $149,02 per annum plus superannuation
• Employment Type: Fixed Term, Full Time [14 Months]
• Usual Work Location: Melbourne Flexible (VFA provides flexible working options)

About the Opportunity

The Manager Events and Engagement will lead the delivery of minor and major events and build productive and impactful relationships within and outside the organisation through effective engagement to ensure the continued promotion of fishing in Victoria.

About You

The successful applicant will possess demonstrable skills exceptional event management, proven engagement abilities with a wide range of stakeholders including hospitality and media, strong team leadership, an enthusiastic and dynamic disposition and a willingness to deliver high-profile events in short time frames and at short notice.

Other criteria we will assess applicants against include:

• Stakeholder management, particularly collaborating with internal stakeholders to deliver on projects
• Event and Project Management, demonstrated ability in planning and delivering successful major events across a broad range of agencies and industries within relevant time constraints and budget funding.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills, including influencing and negotiating at all levels clearly and with confidence.
• Problem solving, seeks all relevant information and uses both known and innovative techniques to resolve and obtain desired outcomes.
• A tertiary qualification in a related area of study will be well regarded
