About the role:

The Manager – ICT Executive Support is a role which is critical to support Victoria Police in serving the community. 

This new team is part of the strategic direction to improve ICT service delivery experiences across Victoria Police, focussing on the experience of our executive leadership and the Chief Commissioner of Police.

  • You will establish trust with the executive leadership team
  • You will perform expert triage and technical support while maintaining confidentiality and absolute discretion
  • You will have autonomy and be empowered by the Chief Technology Officer to direct resources as needed to resolve issues as a priority.

Your key accountabilities will be to:

  • Own and lead the new Executive Support function and its performance
  • Drive issue resolution with high priority across different teams with authority
  • Assist senior leaders with the adoption of new technology
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Product Managers, in particular End User Services
  • Co-locate with Executive Command, and provide out-of-hours availability
  • Draw on the expertise of L2 and L3 technical specialists to assist in resolution
  • Manage a direct report also focussed on Executive Support (VPS5).

As the successful applicant, you will have:

  • Expert knowledge, skills and experience in end user technology (e.g. Windows 10, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, Outlook, Print, Video Conferencing, iOS devices)
  • Strong sense of professionalism and accountability
  • Dedication to delivering excellent customer experiences
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to deliver outcomes and direct activity across multiple internal and external teams
  • An Information Technology, Business, or related degree.

Requirements and relevant information:

  • One (1) Full time, ongoing position available.
  • VPSG6 salary range $ $125,893 - $168,473 p.a + super.
  • Position will be located at the Victoria Police Centre (VPC), 311 Spencer Street, Docklands.
  • Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid work permit or visa.
  • The successful candidate will be required to undergo pre-employment checks which may include fingerprint checks and misconduct screening.
  • The incumbent of the position may be required to be on stand-by/recall outside the ordinary hours of duty. Allowances will be paid in accordance with the relevant Victorian Public Service Agreement.
