Position Summary:

A fantastic opportunity exists for a manger to join our high performing, supportive team which has recently expanded due to growth within the cluster. Within this role you will provide overall epidemiological oversight to the Location Pod Leads and epidemiologists. This is a busy and rewarding role within a fantastic team who have a great culture of comradery.

Working closely with key stakeholders you will provide advice overssing surveillance of active cases, contacts, and outbreaks across Victoria. You will work collaboratively with cross functional teams to design, oversee and conduct epidemiological analysis planning and delivering intelligence insights. You will form part of the leadership team, helping to shape and drive the agenda to enable excellence and best practise. Managing the design process of the program of work, you will support, coach and mentor the team to deliver on the required outcomes. You will develop working relationships, manage expectations, problem solve and drive solutions.

To succeed in this role you will have a relevant tertiary qualification combined with experience working as an epidemiologist in a public health department and/or emergency response setting. You will have a proven track record in leading teams and sound analytical skills. You will possess the ability to use judgement, initiative, and critical thinking while managing competing priorities.
