Safer Care Victoria was established in January 2017 to ensure our health services are providing safe, high-quality care to patients: every time, everywhere. As well as monitoring the standards of care provided, Safer Care Victoria is partnering with patients, clinicians and health service managers to support the continuous improvement of health care.

We are seeking a person passionate about improving mental healthcare for Victorians to join Safer Care Victoria's Improvement Partner as a Manager. You will lead a team to plan, design and deliver large-scale mental health improvement initiatives. You will be a key leader in Safer Care Victoria's Mental Health Improvement Program, focusing on the priorities identified by the Royal Commission into Victoria's Mental Health System. 1. Lead a team of improvement specialists, supporting your team members to work at scale on mental health improvement initiatives involving multiple stakeholders.
    2. Design and deliver mental health improvement initiatives that involve multiple stakeholders with the dual goals of achieving improved outcomes and building capability for improvement among sector participants.
    3. Support your team to work collaboratively with other SCV branches and teams, so that capability for improvement is increased in the agency. You will work with others to teach and coach improvement science to internal and external stakeholders.
    4. Have oversight of, and provide support to, mental health improvement initiatives.
    5. Strategically design and develop the delivery of Safer Care Victoria objectives that impact significant localised service delivery and meet statewide and government objectives and community expectations.
    6. Forge strong connections across SCV and with external stakeholders to facilitate a partnership approach.
    7. Identify and actively manage emerging issues and areas of risk for government, department and the community.
    8. Work with senior management to set and achieve key performance indicators and standards.
