The Mental Health Division provides care and services through a comprehensive range of teams to meet the needs of mental health consumers and carers throughout Victoria. Services are located across Austin Health campuses and ion the community.


The Mental Health Division incorporates four program areas:



  • Adult Mental Health

  • Triage Assessment & Planning Service

  • Child and youth Mental Health Services and,

  • Mental Health Specialty Services


All mental health services work within a clinical framework that promotes recovery orientated practice and supported decision making. This approach to client wellbeing builds on the strengths of the individual working in partnership with their treating team. It encompasses the principles of self-determination and individualised treatment and care.


An exciting opportunity currently exists for an experienced, enthusiastic and innovative health professional to undertake the role of Manager, Community Recovery Program (CRP) and Prevention and Recovery Care (PARC) services. This is a full time fixed-term position. The successful applicant will join Austin Health's Mental Health Division leadership team and participate in service-wide quality activities.


To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate highly developed communication skills, a comprehensive understanding of recovery orientated principles and the ability to: 



  • Lead and manage multidisciplinary teams ensuring staff are familiar and practice in accordance with relevant legislation and guidelines

  • Create high functioning teams that work collaboratively with consumers and carers by providing clinical/professional supervision

  • Work collaboratively with relevant stakeholders

  • Support an innovative and solution focussed culture that incorporates professional and consumer input.


You will be required to lead strategically and systemically; manage a budget; coordinate resources to achieve optimal service delivery; identify service development needs and lead the change management process through project planning, consultation,  implementation and evaluation.
