About the Role:

CFA is seeking a highly motivated, innovative and analytical Manager Policy, Compliance and Governance where you will have the opportunity to really make a difference.  This is a truly unique opportunity to play a key role in strengthening CFA's governance practices in a fast-paced transformative environment.

Reporting to the General Manager Governance, Legal & Risk (GM GLR), this role has responsibility for CFA's Corporate Governance processes, Policy and Compliance framework; to ensure they support a clear, relevant and contemporary governance approach.

This critical role requires the capacity to engage with legislation and policies and build and maintain strong relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders, including volunteers, operational staff, Executives and the Board.

The role will be tasked with providing a direct and strong support capability to the GM GLR, developing and embedding good governance practices and delivering process improvements and enhanced efficiencies.

The primary location for this role is the CFA Headquarters in Burwood East with flexible working from home arrangements to be considered as appropriate.

About You:

A requirement for this role is a tertiary qualification in business administration, law or a related discipline and/or extensive experience in developing and managing governance frameworks ideally within a large, complex and diverse organisation with a focus on corporate policy and compliance.

In addition, the ideal candidate will have experience within a fast-paced, regulated environment with a sound understanding of the context in which CFA operates. 

Naturally you will be a superior communicator with exceptional interpersonal skills and be able to demonstrate your ability and experience in developing, managing and influencing key stakeholders in a large and diverse organisation.

Crucial to your success in this role will be your proven ability to research complex matters and to distil complex information into clear and concise written documents along with your ability to perform Executive and Board Committee secretariat functions.
