  • Location: Melbourne, CBD Exciting opportunity to lead and manage a team that will deliver complex projects across the Victorian Planning Industry.

The Manager, Reform Coordination will play a key role in leading the delivery of government's planning reform agenda, managing risks and issues, liaising with stakeholders and ensuring that objectives are delivered on time. The position will collaborate with the Director and other managers to lead staff, support effective resource planning, performance management and accountability for budgets, resources and employee development. The Manager, Reform Coordination is a member of the Planning Implementation Division leadership team.

Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications

  • A relevant qualification in Planning, Social Sciences or Economics is required.
  • Proven leadership skills, including demonstrated capacity to provide strategic management advice, direction and information in a complex environment and set strategic direction. Demonstrated experience in the delivery of complex projects, managing project teams and budgets in the public or private sectors is required.
  • Technical knowledge or industry experience of the Victorian planning system and/ or legislative reform is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to build awareness and understanding of economic and political trends and consider the ramifications of these emerging issues and long-term impacts.

This is a fixed term position until 30 December 2022.
