About the role
The Manager Speech Pathology is an integral leadership role within the Ambulatory Care division at GV Health. You will join a dynamic team of managers in acute, subacute and community programs, and work collaboratively with managers and staff across the organisation. You will provide over-sight for the provision of safe clinical care to clients receiving speech pathology support throughout their hospital journey and be responsible for ensuring high-quality interventions are provided for adult and paediatric patients within the admitted services, outpatient services, Emergency Department and specialist clinics. This role also includes the provision of clinical intervention to a mixed caseload in addition to the managerial requirements, with the extent and type of clinical duties dependent on the staffing level and expertise available within the service.
With our health service expanding, you will be supported and have opportunity to further develop a high-functioning clinical team delivering contemporary, evidence-based practice aligned with the organisation's strategic and operational priorities.
This role is suitable for experienced managers, and those with leadership experience ready to step into a manager role. GV Health has a structured manager training program, including online resources, to support transition to this role. The Ambulatory Care division managers work closely and collaboratively, and peer mentoring in the leadership team is arranged as required.
