Manager, TAFE Performance - Ongoing - Full - Time

The Office of TAFE Coordination and Delivery (OTCD)  works with TAFEs across Victoria in a new way to build a stronger, more effective TAFE network. The OTCD leads the TAFE network to enhance the quality of their courses and align their training to meet the needs of Victorian industries, communities, and students, ensuring that Victorian TAFE students are job-ready, and Victorian employers will get the skilled workers they need, when and where they need them.

The role of the Manager is to drive the development of strategic planning within the wider team/branch; provide strong, collaborative and adaptable leadership, including coaching and mentoring, to foster a high-performance culture that delivers outcomes across the team; manage stakeholders and represent the team/branch at intra and inter department meetings.

The Manager will lead the team aligned with the TAFE Network outcomes, improvement and accountability framework; design and deliver innovative approaches to performance monitoring and analysis; demonstrate exceptional communication skills including the capacity to explain complex performance outcomes to key stakeholders and decision makers including TAFE institutes, central agencies and senior executives.

Key accountabilities for the role include: direction setting and supervision; lead the team aligned with the TAFE Network outcomes, improvement and accountability framework; provide employees with the leadership, information and guidance required to achieve outcomes and to ensure that these meet compliance requirements; work in partnership with others to implement and embed new strategic directions into business plans; demonstrate specialist skills in evidence translation and performance analysis to ensure that the team delivers outcomes aligned with the Office's wider strategy relating to the TAFE Network.
