Manager - Youth Lived Experience

  • Ongoing part-time role | 2 days per week
  • Based in Parkville

Your new team:

Orygen Specialist Program, a program of the Royal Melbourne Hospital, provides mental health services to young people aged 15-25 (soon to be 12-25) and their families/carers in Melbourne's northwest and western suburbs.

Your new role:

  • Develop, implement and evaluate projects aimed at improving the meaningfulness of youth lived experience engagement
  • Provide line management to Youth Peer Work Specialist and Youth Lived Experience Consultant
  • Lead quality improvement and training activities pertaining to lived experience engagement across our services

About you:

  • Personal lived experience accessing public mental health services, preferably a youth mental health service.
  • Leadership experience in the areas of advocacy, consultation, co-design, project work and/or peer work
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Qualifications/training such as Intentional Peer Support or Certificate IV in Mental Health Peer Work (desirable but not required)
