Our division supports the Department of Transport to deliver on the Government's transport agenda, to get people home sooner and safer and to efficiently move more goods in Victoria's thriving economy. We do this through clear communications, genuine engagement and marketing campaigns that resonate with people because they are focused on delivering better outcomes for people, wherever they live. The division innovates with communications approaches to support organisational, cultural and behavioural change.

About the Opportunity 

The Products and Services Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and implementing marketing activities focussed on positively influencing the use of Victoria's transport network.

The role works to retain existing and attract new users by promoting and informing them about transport products and services, developing programs to encourage new trips, increase loyalty, introduce new and changed services and help users be travel ready by increasing the use information products that support a low-effort experience.

The role must collaborate at a high level in the organisation to negotiate and lead thinking on product marketing strategies developing programs that support the Strategic Marketing Plan and brand strategy.

About You 

  • Have a strong understanding and significant experience in current evidence-based marketing practices.
  • Be a product marketing subject matter expert that develops and implements multiple, complex and innovative marketing strategies that positively impact product use, understanding and loyalty.
  • Possess strong analytical skills to interrogate customer transactions and behaviours that provide insights to support new methods for improving customer experience outcomes.
  • Hold strong financial management skills in developing budgets to support campaigns and initiatives, delivering programs and campaign on budget and measuring return on investment.
  • Possess strong stakeholder relationship management skills along with strong negotiation skills and the ability to influence outcomes at a high level.
  • Have a thorough understanding of the Victorian transport system and political environment.
  • Demonstrated expertise in risk management strategies as they relate to marketing campaigns.
