About the role

We are seeking experienced, passionate midwives and registered nurses who are committed to best practice care to work in either or both of our maternity units or special care nurseries at Box Hill and Angliss Hospitals.

We welcome midwives and nurses who demonstrate a supportive and engaging nature and are passionate about family centred care and achieving high quality clinical outcomes.

Our Women and Children’s Health Service provides exceptional family centred care in well-supported environments:

  • Our maternity units are busy and will keep you on your toes. Box Hill Hospital provides care for in excess of 2700 women and families per year whilst the Angliss Hospital cares for approximately 2500 women and families. Eastern Health is known for innovation and our maternity service proudly supports water birth and Midwifery Group Practice.

  • Our special care nurseries provide a level four high dependency neonatal service. Utilise your clinical knowledge and experience to provide specialised, family centred nursery care to babies (from 32 weeks gestation) with a range of clinical conditions (including Bubble CPAP and High flow). You will have recent NICU or neonatal experience and/or qualifications.

  • Current Midwifery/Nursing registration with AHPRA
