We are looking for someone who has excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the discretion to maintain confidentiality and positive working relationships.
The Media Adviser is responsible for providing media support, issues management and advice to groups, senior executives and ministerial offices. A key aspect of this role is managing relationships with senior stakeholders, journalists and DELWP staff at all levels. You must be able to demonstrate an understanding of the impacts of working in a political environment.
The Media Adviser will deal directly with media outlets and provide responses on behalf of the department. You must be available to take calls from journalists outside normal work hours. The Media Adviser will play a key role in the department's emergency response and all hazards media and communications

This is a fixed term position available for a period of 7 months.
