About the role

This position is responsible for leading the Junior Medical Workforce Operations team and manage the daily operational responsibilities pertaining for junior medical staff across Eastern Health

This includes:

• Creation and maintenance of the JMS Annual Master roster (52 week roster)


• Management of Junior Medical Workforce Coordinators to achieve the goals of the Medical Workforce Unit


• Daily Roster management inclusive of vacancy management


• DoctaRosta/RosterOn for JMS


• Payment preparation and authorisation for medical payroll processing 

About you 

To be successful in this role you will possess:

• Previous experience in or demonstrated understanding of the healthcare industry


• Relevant qualification (HR, Business, Health Administration)


• Experience in a complex, multi-site , 24 hour 7 day per week organisation


• Proven experience in the management of rosters


• Previous experience in or demonstrated understanding of the healthcare industry


• Demonstrated understanding of Human Resource practices, policies, procedures and methodologie


• Demonstrated ability to juggle multiple tasks and issues simultaneously


• Demonstrated ability to manage difficult issues in a calm and considered manner


• Highly developed interpersonal and leadership experience


• Excellent communication and organisational skills
