About the Role

We are looking for a motivated, experienced mental health nurse to join us in a community position in Forensic Mental Health in Community Health.

Forensic Mental Health in Community Health Team provides clinical services to clients on Community Corrections Orders or parole who have a mental health condition on that order or parole.

This is a mental health nursing role within a multidisciplinary team (social workers, psychiatric nurses, speech pathologist, psychologist, exercise physiologist). The role requires you to assess and provide counselling to clients referred by Corrections Victoria. There is a wide variety of clinical presentations and levels of acuity.  You will function as a member of a dynamic multi-disciplinary team to promote an integrated and holistic service for participants on a Correction Order or parole.

• You will work with a wide range of clients with presentations of  differing levels of acuity


• You will work closely with Corrections Victoria case mangers for the common good of our clients.


• You will be well supported by your colleagues and have access to both a Forensic Clinical Specialist and a psychiatrist, to ensure better client service and best practice. 


• You will work Tuesday's non-negotiable hours from 12:00pm to 8:00pm. 

About You

• You are a qualified mental health nurse with a strong interest in working with forensic clients.Relevant qualification and demonstrated experience. 


• Current AHPRA registration.
