About the Role:
The CFA are implementing a restructure to the Business Intelligence Department. As such we have new and exciting opportunities for those who are progressive thinkers and operators who will bring “data to life”. Leaders who will bring technical expertise and implement sophisticated operations to enable informed decision making.
The Modelling & Products Manager is a newly created and critical role to the CFA. You will bring expertise to drive the Business Intelligence team, mandated to “bring data to life”, so that our customers in Victorian communities are prepared for and safe from fire. The team enables trusted decisions through high quality, visible data and information that are presented to community programs, project leaders, brigades, media, emergency sector agencies, Board and Minister's Office.
The Modelling & Products Manager is responsible for driving meaningful analyses that are incorporated into products and models across CFA also externally. The position oversees the appropriateness and application of methods, techniques and tools as well as tunes in to the needs of stakeholders to find actionable opportunities aligned to the objectives of products.
In addition, the Modelling & Products Manager ensures that data are available in visually meaningful ways for decisions across areas including Community Programs, DELWP, FRV, Victoria Police, State Mapping Committee, Brigades, the Senior Leadership team and Board.
