Monash Health is offering opportunities for supported positions in the following professional streams:

  • Nursing

  • Midwifery

  • Double Degree Nursing & Midwifery


Applications are now open to candidates who are seeking a Registered Nurse and/or Midwife supported Graduate position, commencing in 2022 and who meet the following criteria:



  • Completed entry to practice Nursing and/or Midwifery qualification within the last 24 months

  • Applicants must be ineligible to participate in PMCV (Postgraduate Medical Council of Victoria) allocation service placement for 2023 Graduate Program positions. Applicants who were previously unmatched in the PMCV process for 2021 or 2022 programs are welcome to apply.

  • We can consider all applicants that have previously been employed as an RN (Registered Nurse) with 6 months or less Acute hospital experience


The Monash Health Graduate Program offers: 



  • A twelve-month structured program to consolidate your skills, with multiple entry points through the year within 2 remaining intakes (August and November). Both intakes will offer early commencement options to registered Graduates.

  • A guarantee of ongoing permanent employment with Monash Health Bureau (Pool) at the completion of the program, at your choice of part-time or full-time EFT

  • A comprehensive orientation program conducted in July 2022

  • A diverse range of supportive clinical areas to build your experience and confidence



  • Rotations



  • Graduate Nurses complete two (2) minimum 6-month rotations within a 12-month period

  • Midwifery and Double Degree Graduates complete four (4) three-month rotations within a 12-month program: Two (2) birth suite rotations and Two (2) post/antenatal rotations or one (1) postnatal/antenatal rotation and one (1) nursing area rotation for Double Degree Graduates

Under the Victorian Public Health orders, all employees working within the Public Health system must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and are required to provide acceptable evidence of their vaccination status.  The current orders require evidence of three doses.
