Our Journey:

The Music Therapy service is integrated across Monash Health, providing clinical services in paediatric and adult inpatient, mental health and community services, operating across Monash Medical Centre, Monash Children's Hospital, Dandenong and Casey Hospitals and the Kingston Centre. We form part of a dynamic allied health team and are committed to a patient centred, evidence based practice and supporting staff to continue their career development and lifelong learning.

A Day in the Life:

We know the importance of Music Therapy and how it contributes positively to our patients’ lives. We love what we do and enjoy making a positive impact to our patients.

We are looking for talented Music Therapists to join our team and have multiple positions available (both full time and part time).

These roles form part of our Grade 1 rotation program. Rotation opportunities may include acute paediatrics, Victorian Paediatric Rehabilitation service, sub-acute adult rehabilitation and acute adults. Ongoing supervision and professional development opportunities are provided.

This role will afford you variety (no two days are the same!) and the opportunity to gain experience in many different clinical settings in our Clayton, Kingston Centre (Cheltenham) and Casey sites. You will be joining a friendly and welcoming team of Music Therapists who all share a common goal of excellent clinical care for all our patients.

What you need:

  • Undergraduate or postgraduate degree in Music Therapy from an approved training course
  • Eligible for current membership and registration with the Australian Music Therapy Association (AMTA) Inc.
  • Current ARIA Music Therapist Copyright & Reproduction licence
  • All candidates require Australian working right
