About the role

The Project Manager –National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is responsible to the Director Clinical Operations, Clinical Governance, Quality and Safety for ensuring the achievement of the patient and organisational performance targets of the National Disability Insurance Scheme in Residential Aged Care Services (RACS) in the Acute and Aged Medicine Program. The role will focus on ensuring organisational alignment with the NDIS, and the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) who administer the scheme.

Essential

• Graduate qualifications in a relevant discipline, health services management or other relevant qualification(s).


• Knowledge and understanding of:


• Organisational accreditation processes


• NDIS provider registration


• NDIS quality standards


• Commonwealth Aged Care Quality Standards


• National Safety and Quality in Health Service Standards 2^nd edition


• Previous industry experience within the health care sector


• Experience in developing and implementing quality systems in Health care.


• Proven track record in analysing, allocating, developing and achieving organisational targets.


• Demonstrated ability to develop creative solutions to complex systemic and organisational problems.


• Ability to influence change in a collaborative and highly professional environment


• Ability to prioritise competing demands and meet dead lines


• Demonstrated ability in project management


• Quality data management skills


• Extensive knowledge of a performance excellence approach to patient quality and safety management


• Management experience within a large, complex healthcare or other relevant organisation


• Demonstrated leadership and facilitation skills.


• Demonstrated understanding of planning, developing and ensuring continuous improvement of quality health care services within a constrained budgetary environment.


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills both written and verbal


• Demonstrated ability to understand change and the dynamics of a large, complex health care organisation

Desirable

• Successfully led or participated in an NDIS provider registration process


• Extensive understanding of organisational performance management systems and advanced analytical skills
