2023 Neonatology Fellow


Fixed Term Training Program (6th February 2023 to 4th February 2024)
6 Month - 12 Month positions available
Full Time (Part Time/Job Share will be considered)


The Women’s is Australia’s leading independent specialist hospital for women dedicated to improving the health and wellbeing of women of all ages and cultures, and new born babies. The Women’s is a major teaching hospital with strong affiliations to the University of Melbourne, with research and education integral to its role.


The department is well staffed with full time Neonatologists and training is overseen by a supervisor of training. The Women’s is committed to the ongoing professional development of trainees and a wide range of clinical and audit meetings, and specific education sessions are provided. There is a full day of protected education each month through the Melbourne Neonatal Fellowship Teaching Program.  Trainees are also supported and encouraged to undertake research.


The Women's is accredited by the Royal Australasian College of Physicians for 18 months core and 6 months non-core training in Neonatal Perinatal Medicine. This position is suitable for doctors with a minimum of 9 months experience in a tertiary Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and applications for job share/part-time positions will be considered.


The Classification and Salary scale will be dependent on experience and you will be appointed and in accordance to the AMA Victoria – Victorian Public Health Sector – Doctors in Training Enterprise Agreement 2018-2021.
