About the role

Eastern Health’s Mental Health & Wellbeing Program is a leader in care delivery, innovation, research and education. The Adult and Older Adult Mental Health Service works in partnership with consumers (aged 26+), carers, families and other service providers, to provide high quality mental health assessments, clinical case management and therapeutic interventions, within a recovery oriented model of care, alongside the provision of discipline specific clinical work.  The model of care includes working in close collaboration with family and carers as well as in the partnership with a range of community services to support the consumer’s recovery journey.

The Senior Neuropsychologist will provide expert clinical neuropsychology services predominantly to the Outer East Continuing Care Teams (CCT), Maroondah Rehabilitation Teams, and Maroondah Hospital acute mental health inpatient units.

About you 

To be successful in this role you will possess

  • A Masters or Doctorate degree in Clinical Neuropsychology
  • Current full registration with the Psychology Board or Australia.
  • Endorsement as a neuropsychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia
  • Extensive knowledge, experience and ability in the provision of clinical neuropsychological services in a range of clinical settings, including experience in neuropsychological interventions with depression, anxiety, adjustment issues and chronic disease as well as with more severe mental health presentations.
  • Experience in adult mental health with adult psychiatric and neuro psychiatric conditions
  • Highly developed interpersonal and leadership experience
  • A strong commitment to high quality care
  • The ability to work as part of a diverse team
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
