We are looking for passionate and dedicated individuals to join our Nuclear Medicine team. This is a (Full Time) position, working 9.5 (+1/2 hr unpaid lunch break) per day either for one or two days per week (negotiable). It is covered by the AMA Victoria-Victorian Public Health Sector-Medical Specialists Enterprise Agreement 2018-2021.?

You will report to the head of the Nuclear Medicine Service at RMH.?

Your Opportunity:

To work at a large tertiary hospital in the field of Nuclear Medicine, inclusive of PET amongst a multi disciplinary team of Nuclear Medicine Specialists, the majority of whom are dually trained. You will also be involved in theranostics. There will also be an opportunity to assist in the training of an Advance trainee in Nuclear Medicine and participate in research/publication activities within the department.

Contribute to the management of patients in a multi disciplinary format.

  • To assist the Head of Unit in administrative duties as required including the development and review of policies and procedures for the provision of Nuclear Medicine services, updating as needed to reflect best practice and evidence based medicine.

To promote Nuclear Medicine within as well as outside the hospital.

  • ·  To assist in the evaluation of the delivery of Nuclear Medicine services and in implementing appropriate quality and risk management initiatives.

  • ·  To assist in making a safe working environment by reporting any incidents of unsafe work practices, sites or equipment. To assist in the resolution of these issues.

  • ·  To abide by the RMH corporate policies and practices as varied from time to time.

  • ·  To regularly access the hospital email system and respond in a timely manner to correspondence.

  • ·  To participate in RMH performance appraisal program as required.

  • Emergency Response Manual, as and when required, at the direction of management.

About You:

Essential Knowledge and skills:

  • ·  Be registered Medical Practitioner in the State of Victoria and hold a current license to prescribe and administer radioactive substances to humans from the department of health (Victoria) Radiation licensing body.

Recognized my Medicare as a Nuclear Medicine specialist and have a current provider number reflective of such.

  • ·  Hold a Fellowship of Joint Specialist Advisory Committee (JSAC) in Nuclear

Medicine, and primary Fellowship of either the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP) or the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (RANZCR) or equivalent

  • ·  Have appropriate training and experience applicable to the field of Nuclear Medicine, including PET. Experience and interest in radionuclide therapy is strongly encouraged.

  • ·  Have demonstrated commitment to high quality patient care.

  • ·  Have demonstrated capability and interest in research

  • ·  Have demonstrated commitment to teaching.

  • ·  Have demonstrated ability to communicate at all levels.

  • ·  Have demonstrated teamwork and collaboration

  • ·  Have demonstrated computer skills including use of email and the internet
