About the Role

The Eastern Health Breast and Cancer Centre is co-located on the Maroondah Hospital site and provides services for women including breast screening, breast cancer treatment, supportive care and multidisciplinary outpatient clinics for approximately 20,000 patients per annum.  The Nurse Unit Manager is fundamental to the ongoing operational and professional management of the Centre and an integral member of the Eastern Health Breast and Cancer Centre Management Committee.

About You

 To be successful in this role you should possess:

  • Post-graduate qualification relevant to the area of specialty

  • Previous experience in a similar role or at senior management level

  • Excellent communication skills: written, verbal and interpersonal with demonstrated ability to collaborate and work as an effective team member at a local and organisational level to deliver organisational outcomes

  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, utilising well developed critical analysis skills to achieve efficiency and effectiveness

  • Demonstrated ability to lead significant change practice initiatives

  • Demonstrated conflict resolution, negotiation, problem-solving and analytical skills

  • Demonstrated record of achievement of quality service delivery
