Moyne Health Services is looking for an experienced Registered Nurse with Aged Care management experience to join our team as the Residential Aged Care Services (RACS) Manager for Belfast House.

About the Role

The RACS Manager - Belfast House oversees the day to day operation of a 30 bed aged care facility, ensuring the high quality care of residents and effective management of care staff.

This position is responsible for the provision of high quality, individualised residential care through modelling the Moyne Health Services values, effective leadership, management of staff and other resources, and the development of cooperative professional relationships.

The role also involves the coordination and management of the daily activity of the clinical area, bed utilisation, budget, facilities and equipment, staff performance management, staff development and management of portfolios.

About You

To be successful in this role you must meet the following criteria:

  • Current Registered Nurse with AHPRA
  • Post Graduate qualifications in a relevant area of nursing OR equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated experience in a leadership role
  • Experience with change management strategies
  • Sound understanding of the Aged Care Accreditation Standards, National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards, quality systems and continuous improvement models.
  • Ability to create and maintain a positive workplace culture, to negotiate resolutions and manage conflict
  • Sound understanding of the Aged Care Act 1997 and ACFI reporting systems
  • Understanding of clinical indicator reporting systems

Moyne Health Services is a public, not for profit, integrated healthcare service that helps meet community healthcare needs in Port Fairy and surrounding districts in the Moyne Shire. Port Fairy is a picturesque coastal community in South West Victoria. Employing more than 190 people, MHS operates a 15 bed acute hospital, 2 Aged Care Residence' with a total of 82 beds, Accident & Emergency, primary and community care services, adult day centre and Allied Health Services.
