Up to $20,000 incentive payments may be available to support relocation

About the role

We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Registered Psychiatric Nurse (Division 1) to join our team as a Nurse Unit Manager of our Prevention and Recovery Centre (PARC).

The PARC is a 12 bed unit that provides short term recovery focused treatment and support in a residential setting for up to 28 days alongside a lengthier treatment option of up to 6 months for people who may require more support during an acute phase of mental illness.

You will be able to provide leadership and direction to the team of the PARC to ensure routine delivery of recovery focused high quality mental health services, incorporating evidence-based and 'best practice' assessment and interventions, to persons aged 18-64 with significant mental disorders and their families, and to evaluate the clinical effectiveness of such interventions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide clear leadership to the team consistent with the implementation of the Strategic Plan of the Mental Health Services
  • Manage, plan, monitor, evaluate, and develop the teams, to meet the clinical needs of the people who use the service, their families & carers, and the community
  • Assist in the development and implementation of appropriate systems, policies, and procedures for the management of the unit ensuring an integrated and co-operative approach with the mental health directorate

This position is paid in accordance with the Victorian Public Mental Health Services Enterprise Agreement. The classification is Registered Psychiatric Nurse Grade 2 (NP21 - NP26) which ranges from $35.04 - $45.03 per hour
