Senior Clinician - Social Worker

North Western Area Mental Health Service (NWAMHS)

Your Role:

  • Provide psychosocial assessments, integrated casework service and other social work interventions.

  • Help shape the next generation of social workers through mentorship, leadership, group and individual supervision.

  • Share your clinical expertise and provide professional supervision and support to social work staff and social work students.

  • Work collaboratively with other members of the multidisciplinary team, to provide social work interventions, to consumers and their families and/or carers.

About You:

  • Proven ability to plan, implement and evaluate social work intervention for consumers in the acute phase of mental illness.

  • Have several years post-qualifying Social Work practice, including mental health social work experience. 

  • Demonstrated expertise in direct clinical practice with consumers, families, carers and supporters. 

  • Proven ability to liaise and consult with a broad range of health professionals, community agencies and organisations.
