About the role

Our Obstetrics and Gynaecology Service is looking for a bright and motivated person to join our team in a key operational role.  Our full-time specialists provide continuity of care during the week at both of our sites including birth suite cover, antenatal and gynaecology ward rounds, regular gynaecology theatre lists and gynaecology and antenatal outpatient clinics, rostered clinical support time including quality and safety involvement, organisation of MDTs and teaching and training for accredited and unaccredited as well as Diploma of Obstetrics and advanced Diploma candidates.  There is scope to tailor the roster to accord with the applicant’s interests and to develop in areas of interest such as ultrasound.  The role is well-supported by Senior staff and other specialties including on-site ICU (both sites), urology, general surgery, obstetric medicine, renal and cardiology within a busy general hospital.  This position could be suitable to job share for motivated organised candidates.

To be successful in this role you will possess:

  • Enthusiasm for evidence based practice

  • Understanding of clinical governance and quality and safety

  • Current specialist registration with AHPRA

  • Post Graduate qualifications FRANZCOG

  • Highly developed interpersonal and leadership experience

  • A strong commitment to high quality care

  • The ability to work as part of a diverse team

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
