Hiring: Rotational Grade One Occupational Therapist

  • Permanent Full Time (80 hours per fortnight including monthly ADO)
  • Suitable for New Graduate Occupational Therapists or experienced Grade 1 Occupational Therapists

We are near completion of a $229 million transformation of our Graham Street site, which comprises of a five-storey Inpatient Unit building, expansion of our current theatre capacity, new Critical Care Unit, a state of-the-art Dialysis Unit and an extension of the current Emergency Department.

About the role

A Grade 1 rotational opportunity exists for newly graduated Occupational Therapists or experienced Occupational Therapists.

This opportunity will allow you to experience Occupational Therapy services across Acute (Emergency Department, Short Stay, Medical, Surgical, Paediatrics, Respiratory and Intensive Care Units), Sub-acute (Rehab, Geriatric Evaluation and Management, and Palliative Care) or Community Health.

Based at the main hospital Graham Street Shepparton Campus or at Community Health on Corio St, you will provide assessment, intervention and discharge planning within a multidisciplinary team.

We are looking for

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy with eligibility for membership of Occupational Therapy Australia including current or eligibility registration for Australian Health Practitioner Registration Agency as an Occupational Therapist
  • Sound understanding of Occupational Therapy practice in the inpatient or community setting, including clinical experience in assessment, intervention and discharge planning of various patient cohorts
  • Demonstrated commitment to learning and professional development, including a positive attitude towards supervision and receiving feedback
