Permanent, part time or full-time position
Flexible hours/days available
$42.82 to $49.22 per hour

Up to $20,000 incentive payments may be available to support relocation

(Be reimbursed for rent, childcare, school fees, relocation costs and more). The Victorian Government has allocated funds to support rural and regional Area Mental Health Services (AMHS) to provide incentives to attract workers to roles that are difficult to fill.
The new workforce relocation and incentive grants program is being administered by Rural Agency Workforce Victoria (RWAV).

About the role

The Occupational Therapist will work within the multidisciplinary team to provide high quality evidence-based care in collaboration with the consumer and their carer/s and other treating health professionals.

Key Responsibilities

You will:

  • Provide a range of evidence-based assessments and interventions;
  • Work with the multidisciplinary team to provide a high-quality service that meets the needs of the consumers;
  • Deliver Occupational Therapy group and individual evidence-based;  
  • Demonstrate behaviours that supports a recovery-oriented approach to care;
  • Liaise with relevant area mental health services.

Skills and experience

You will have:

  • Registration as an Occupational Therapist with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia and AHRPA;
  • Knowledge and understanding of contemporary occupational therapy evidence-based and best practice interventions/treatments;
  • Demonstrated commitment to recovery-oriented practice;
  • Ability to understand and interpret relevant legislation;
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships.
