About the facility 


Barwon health is the major regional health provider for the Barwon South West region. It is Victoria’s largest regional health service with one of the busiest hospitals in the state, University Hospital. We serve over 500,000 people through the efforts of over 8,000 staff and more than 1000 volunteers. We provide care at all stages or life and circumstance through a wide range of services from emergency and acute to mental health, primary care, community services, aged care, and subacute/rehabilitation. Care is provided to the community through over 24 key locations throughout the region.


About the role 


As the successful applicant you will contribute to and be part of the community based, multidisciplinary Area health team to support consumers and carers to achieve an optimum level of health independence through:



  • Comprehensive, coordinated and integrated multidisciplinary services

  • Provision of consumer centred care to community members from a broad range of backgrounds

  • Contribute to the development and delivery of high quality, cost effective community based Occupational Therapy services

  • Contribute to meeting the program and community health team key performance indicators (KPI’s)


All activities of the position will reflect current best practice standards for Occupational Therapy. The position will operate according to relevant legislations, Barwon Health policies, program and department guidelines. It will be located at a primary location but may be moved to other Barwon Health locations depending on service needs.
