Working within a wider multidisciplinary team, this role will see you providing quality evidence based care to our Aged patients with a variety of mental health conditions such as Dementia. Our Mental Health Adult inpatient services provide care and treatment during the critical phase of mental illness until management within the community is a safe option. With a range of therapeutic interventions and programs, both patients and families are able to have support and learn about the impact of mental health diagnosis and develop coping strategies to better manage their recovery in the community.

Monash Health has 2 Aged Persons’ Mental Health inpatient units:

• Dandenong Hospital – Unit 3 – 20 bed


• Kingston Centre- Biala Unit – 20 bed

 A Day in the Life:

 No two days will be the same as you work within an established, friendly and supportive team environment, working closely together to care for our patients along with providing opportunities for staff development and growth in areas that staff are passionate about.

We are excited to announce that we are seeking a talented Occupational Therapist who enjoys creative problem solving and thinking outside the box to help patients achieve their occupational goals

• Work across two sites (Dandenong and Kingston) providing care to our inpatients


• Coordinating fun daily activities  – no two days are the same


• Improve our patients quality of life through evidence based patient and family centred care

 What you need:

• Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (or equivalent qualification)


• Current registration with AHPRA and Occupational Therapy Board of Australia


• Experience in Community Rehabilitation/Hospital based Rehabilitation


• Experience in Neurological Rehabilitation


• Experience in Public Health (desirable)


• Current Drivers Licence
