About Barwon Health

Barwon Health is the major public health care provider in the Barwon South west region with a 406 bed public hospital (University Hospital Geelong), 100 bed subacute facility (McKellar Centre), 2 community rehabilitation centres, 21 community health sites, four aged care facilities, university affiliated international research and tertiary education.

Barwon Health has an extensive building projects occurring with a women’s and children hospital development in acute and subacute programs, new mental health facilities for inpatients and outpatients, new urgent care facilities in community locations.

About the role

We are seeking applications for Grade 3 and 4 Occupational Therapists to join our community of over 150 occupational therapists and clinically or operational lead our specialty services, providing supervision and mentoring to junior staff whilst developing advanced leadership and collaboration skills to lead innovative evidence based interdisciplinary quality improvement and research projects.

• Our Grade 3 senior clinician positions provide clinical supervision to junior staff and are integrated in programs across the continuum of care in the specialty areas of acute medical, acute surgical, hand therapy, inpatient rehabilitation, subacute neurorehabilitation, subacute Spinal/trauma, community rehabilitation, community health, palliative care, rehab@home and GEM@home programs, paediatric, mental health, student education and allied health (staff) education & training. 


• Our Grade 4 occupational therapists support our senior clinicians and provide leadership in OT operational management, clinical expert, research and education & training roles across Barwon Health, supported by a Grade 5 Occupational Therapy manager and interdisciplinary program managers.
