About the role

An opportunity exists at with our APMHS – Community Team at Peter James Centre for a passionate and enthusiastic mental health clinician with sound clinical knowledge and experience within mental health.  You will conduct mental state assessments, brief interventions and supportive treatments.  Have the ability to work autonomously as well as in a friendly supportive team environment.

The APMHS Community Team is a community based mental health outreach team, servicing people over the age of 65years. You will be working with a multidisciplinary team to provide mental health services and support based on the Recovery Model principles.

About you

To be successful in the role you will have:

  • Current Victorian drivers licence
  • Post graduate qualifications (preferred)
  • Well developed interpersonal and skills
  • Ability to work as part of a diverse team
  • Strong commitment to high quality patient care
  • Current registration with AHPRA or AASW or governing professional body
  • Experience in facilitating Therapeutic Groups
