  • Based at The Royal Melbourne Hospital - City Campus, Parkville

  • Transportation services including patients, equipment, blood, specimens, records, supplies

  • Provide patient assistance to clinical staff including transfers of patients, positioning of patients, assist in surgical prepping

  • Provide assistance with patient hygiene and other patient related services

  • Provide assistance with theatre staff including positioning theatre lights, equipment safety checks and connections

  • Perform cleaning support services; operating theatre cleaning, remove, dispose of rubbish & recyclables, linen, waste

  • Ensure relevant stock levels are maintained in all theatre areas

About You:

  • Certificate 3 or 4 Operating Theatre Technician

  • Demonstrated ability to practice collaboratively as part of the multidisciplinary health care team

  • Demonstrated provision of high quality patient care

  • Developed assessment, clinical reasoning, problem solving and prioritisation skills

  • High motivation and willingness to learn

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • High level of reliability and professional conduct

  • Recent experience in an acute hospital setting (minimum 12 months, preferable 2 years)
