 Oral Health Therapist (Level 3) - Bendigo Health Community Dental Services

The Position 


Position Title: Oral Health Therapist - Level 3
Classification: DT53 - DT55
Salary per hour (exc. super): $41.76 - $44.31 
Hours per fortnight: 80 hours
Employment Status: Ongoing


  


 Key Responsibilities:



  • Provide high quality, efficient and effective dental health care and education to patients aimed to maintain and improve their oral health.

  • Active involvement in preventative oral health initiatives including Smile Squad, other early years and high risk community group outreach programs.

  • Lead, mentor, supervise and/or support less experienced clinicians and dental assistants to build their clinical skills, confidence and ability.


 Key Requirements:



  • Registration as an Oral Health Therapist with AHPRA, with extended scope of practice allowing restorative treatment of adults.

  • Current Radiation Operators Licence and ability to meet credentialing requirements of Bendigo Health.

  • Demonstrated clinical competence and minimum three years' experience in dental service provision.



The Team


The Community Dental Service (CDS) is a 31 chair facility providing dental care for members of the Bendigo and surrounding community. The team consists of dentists, oral health therapists, dental prosthetists, oral health educators and a range of support personnel. The Dental service is primarily funded by Dental Health Services Victoria to provide both general and emergency oral health care within the scope of publicly funded dental services. CDS is also involved in preventative oral health initiatives including an active schools and early years outreach program.

The Integrated Care Services Division offers a diverse range of programs and services which provide high quality person centred care to patients, clients, residents and consumers in Bendigo and across the Loddon Mallee Region.
