Environmental Services

PSA Grade 1 / 2 (PS21 / PS25)

We are seeking applications from motivated individuals to join our dedicated Environmental Services team. These casual positions include working a rotating 7 day, 24 hour roster and participation in an on-call roster. The Orderly / Cleaner will perform a diverse range of patient and resident support services in accordance with educational preparation and level of competence. Functions of the role can include cleaning and housekeeping, food and beverage duties, transport and couriering, ward support and patient support as listed in the award guidelines.

Key Selection Criteria include:


  • Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills
  • A commitment to customer service and patient centred care
  • Knowledge of food hygiene and cleanliness standards
  • Work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Ability to prioritise workload to ensure all tasks are completed in the required time frame
  • Ability to work under limited supervision


  • Certificate III in Health Services Assistance or similar
  • Food Handling safety certificate
  • Previous experience in a cleaning role
  • Understanding of infection control, good general hygiene
  • Basic computer skills
  • Current driver’s license
