Registrars are medical practitioners with experience in Paediatrics and Neonates who work within a multidisciplinary team.The Paediatric Registrar works in an inpatient environment within Children’s ward, SCN, WHU and ED as well as attending deliveries and theatre when required. The Registrar also works across a wide variety of clinics. The Registrars roster is a 7-day rotating roster across all shifts, including oncall(sick cover), Night duty and weekends. Under direction, the registrar reviews medical, developmental, and behavioural needs of patients and provides appropriate care and services to secure optimum health outcomes.The Registrar also has a vital role in teaching and supporting Resident Medical Officers and Medical Students. There is an extensive Education program run at Frankston for Paediatric Registrars and a Registrar’s performance is supervised and monitored by specialists to ensure they are entrusted with responsibilities commensurate with their capabilities.A great opportunity to work across a wide variety of clinics and inpatient environment with a 15 bed Children’s Ward and 15 bed SCN. All Registrar’s are supported and supervised across all rostered roles including great education and teaching opportunities.Accredited by RACP for General Paediatrics with Neonates.
