About the facility

Barwon health is the major regional health provider for the Barwon South West region. It is Victoria’s largest regional health service with one of the busiest hospitals in the state, University Hospital. We provide care at all stages or life and circumstance through a wide range of services from emergency and acute to mental health, primary care, community services, aged care, and subacute/rehabilitation. About the role

The Pain Management Unit [PMU] at University Hospital Geelong, Barwon Health, is recognised as a Tier 1 unit for training by the Faculty of Pain Medicine of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists [FPMANZCA]. The unit maintains a commitment to excellence in multidisciplinary pain management with a focus on preparing senior trainees for consultant practice. This position will be suitable for trainees entering their first year of training "Core Development Stage" or second year of training “Professional Development Stage". Proof of registration with The Pain Medicine Training Program of the Faculty of Pain Medicine, NO LATER than 30/04/2020, is a mandatory requirement.

Note: for Professional Development Stage Candidates, a practice development proposal must be submitted to the Faculty assessor NO LESS than eight weeks prior to commencement of the practice development year.
