We are looking for highly motivated, resourceful and dedicated Registered Nurse with a strong palliative care background to join our Parkville Palliative Care Team.This position is based at RMH, Royal Park Campus


Your Opportunity:

  • Provide end of life care and palliative care information, guidance and support to all Victorians including the public and health professionals.

  • Inform and support all callers

  • Assist the person with life-limiting illness and their carers to feel more confident to make decisions about all aspects of their care, including the location of their care.

  • Reduce avoidable presentations to emergency departments

  • Enable more Victorians to be cared for and to die at home, if that is their wish

About You:

  • Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency

  • At least five years Palliative Care experience

  • Demonstrated ability to practise collaboratively as part of a health care team

  • Demonstrated provision of high quality patient care

  • Ability to develop innovative approaches to care

  • High degree of adaptability and empathy

  • Developed assessment, clinical reasoning, problem solving and prioritization skills

  • High level of motivation and innovation

  • High level of reliability and professional conduct

  • Masters degree or working towards a Masters degree highly regarded
