Monash Health Pathology is Victoria’s largest public pathology provider dedicated to providing patient focused services to the people of South East Melbourne, South Gippsland and surrounding communities.  Monash Health Pathology has laboratory sites at Clayton, Dandenong, Moorabbin, Casey and Wonthaggi with 19 collection centres based within the hospital and community settings.


About the Role


The Pathology Client Relationship Manager will support the strategic plans of Monash Health and operational imperatives of Monash Health Pathology. The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting the patient focused services of Monash Pathology to medical centres, specialists, GP's and other referrers across the Monash Health catchment. In addition, the role will work in tandem with the Monash Pathology team to deliver results, manage issues and problems, facilitate IT access and training issues, grow market share and foster long term relationships with referrers.


To be considered for this role you will have a knowledge of pathology disciplines and experience in a pathology/medical/pharmaceutical sales role. You will be responsible for promoting to and educating general practitioners, allied health professionals and medical specialists about our service. Your role will ensure maintenance of service levels to existing clientele, while increasing market share and bringing in new business.


What You Need to Know


Ideally, you will be able to demonstrate:



  • A knowledge of pathology disciplines

  • Experience in a pathology/medical representative role

  • An understanding of the Melbourne medical/pathology market

  • A strong customer focus

  • A degree qualification

  • A minimum of 12 months sales experience would be highly desirable


Regardless of background, excellent inter-personal and written skills are required. Candidates should be prepared for moderate travel throughout the South East regions of Melbourne. Competitive salary is on offer to the successful candidate.
