Pathology Network West Transformation Project – Peter Mac Site Partnership Manager - 2 Year Fixed Term

The Pathology Network West (PNW) Program is a transformation program spanning the four health services of the Parkville Precinct: The Royal Melbourne Hospital, The Royal Women’s Hospital, The Royal Children’s Hospital, and Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre.

In October 2020, the Victorian Government announced that several existing public hospital pathology laboratories would be brought together into three shared pathology networks. The Pathology Network West is one of those three networks, and is made up of the Parkville Precinct health services.

The Parkville Precinct has a strong history of collaboration with each health service leading Precinct-wide reforms in partnership. In this way, Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre will lead the PNW Program and with PNW staff based at Peter MacCallum.

In 2022, the focus of the PNW Program will be designing the new pathology network, as well as beginning the process of selecting a single, improved Laboratory Information System (LIS) to integrate with the four Parkville health services.

More information about the PNW vision can be found in the attached position description.
