About us:

Court Services Victoria (CSV) was established on 1 July 2014 as an independent statutory body corporate to provide corporate and administrative services that support judicial independence in the administration of justice in Victoria. CSV provides support services to the Supreme Court; County Court; Magistrates' Court; Children's Court; and the Coroners Court, as well as the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT), Judicial College of Victoria and the Judicial Commission of Victoria.

The role operates within the People and Culture branch of Jurisdiction Services in CSV. JS is the specialist service arm of CSV that provides support to the jurisdictions and business areas in a range of corporate functions including human resources; Koori programs and initiatives; finance; facilities; assets and contract management; security; risk, audit and compliance; project management; business intelligence; communications; business review and improvement; technology; and transcription services.

About the role:

The Payroll Officer will work as part of a team responsible for providing professional and efficient Payroll and HR Operation services to support Court Services Victoria key people functions, strategic goals, and directions. This position is responsible for payroll processing and checking for Jurisdiction Services, Magistrates' Court, the County Court, the Children's Court, the Victorian Civil & Administrative Tribunal (VCAT), the Judicial College of Victoria (JCV), the Judicial Commission of Victoria, and the Coroners Court. The role also involves providing portfolio wide advice on entitlements and remuneration matters.

About you:

  • Experience with payroll processing for medium to large organisation
  • Sound numeracy skills, attention to detail and accuracy
  • Intermediate computer skills and competent with Microsoft products
  • Worked within a large team environment with shared services responsibilities
  • Knowledge of government processes is desirable
