You will be responsible for the delivery of best practice payroll service to approximately 1000 employees through the coordination and delivery of end-to-end payroll activities, including pre-pay, pay-run and post pay run activities.

About the role:
You will be responsible for the delivery of best practice payroll service to approximately 1000 employees through the coordination and delivery of end-to-end payroll activities, including pre-pay, pay-run and post pay run activities. Working autonomously, you will ensure that employee pays are accurately maintained and adjusted, consistent with entitlements prescribed by the VLA Enterprise Agreement and VLA policies with respect to the calculation of salary adjustments, allowances, leave entitlements, workers compensation payments, terminations, and redundancies.

Additionally, you will contribute to special projects in a payroll capacity which include working collaboratively to support the successful engagement, onboarding and offboarding of employees, contractors, students and volunteers with exemplary customer service, with a focus on continuous improvement and a commitment to our values.

About you:
You will have extensive experience and expert knowledge in an end-to-end payroll position, preferably in the non-for-profit sector with substantial experience using Aurion People and Payroll Software.

You will have capacity to provide accurate and timely advice on all payroll related matters to all employees and possess extensive experience across end-to-end payroll processes. You are a professional, positive, and effective communicator, with a good understanding of award and employment agreements.
