We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated person to join the Department of Microbiology team as a Personal Assistant providing support to the Director of Microbiology. This is a Part Time position working 40 hours per fortnight, based at the Royal Melbourne Hospital - City Campus.


 


Your Opportunity:



  • Provide secretarial and administrative support to the Director of Microbiology and staff

  • The role encompasses a broad range of individual functions that are essential to support the smooth running of the Department

  • Assisting in the overall coordination of management activities

  • Diary/Calendar Management

  • Preparation of documentation and reports, e.g. letters, memos, presentations

  • Preparation, distribution and filing of agenda for meetings and minute taking as required

  • Maintenance of relevant databases


About You:



  • Demonstrated secretarial/administrative assistant experience

  • Organisational skills, demonstrated initiative and attention to detail

  • Ability to work in a sensitive area requiring a high degree of confidentiality

  • Excellent communication both verbal and written
