About the role

An exciting opportunity exists for a Grade 1 Physiotherapist to join our rapidly expanding workforce at GV Health.
The Physiotherapist is responsible for providing services to the acute surgical and medical wards, sub-acute (rehabilitation) ward, acute outpatients and Community Rehabilitation Service, on a rotational basis. The position will also entail supported services to the emergency department, critical care unit and paediatrics ward.

This position would be suitable for a graduate or experienced Grade 1 Physiotherapist. Final year physiotherapy students who are not yet AHPRA registered may apply for this position.  Employment offers will be subject to successful completion of course studies and AHPRA registration.  Applicants who have not yet qualified as a physiotherapist must attach copy of academic transcript in place of qualifications as part of application process. Applicants wishing to commence work later into 2023 are also welcome to apply.

We are looking for:

  • Bachelor of Physiotherapy or equivalent professional entry level qualification and eligibility for membership of professional association as well as current registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) 
  • A sound understanding of physiotherapy practice in the inpatient, outpatient and community settings, across a range of clinical areas
  • Sound communication and interpersonal skills including an ability to liaise with a wide range of internal and external providers at all levels
  • A strong desire to develop their skills and capabilities as a physiotherapist through positive participation in clinical supervision and education programs.
  • Well-developed time management and problem solving skills to prioritise tasks and ensure efficient physiotherapy practice.
